Maria’s view of Log Cabin Living

The river, frozen along the edges, appears to be trying to freeze solid!  If it does, I would be tempted to try to walk across it… it’s only about 2 feet deep, at the deepest point, during Winter.  The deer walk to the edge of the ice and take a long drink.  I wonder how thick the ice is?  Should I make a go for it myself?  A good pair of rubber boots would come in handy right now..

It’s like a winter wonderland out here, with the snow sparkling in the sunlight.  Each little tree branch glitters like it’s lit up.  I hope the snow stays for a while.   Across the yard, the blue spruce tree looks amazing with snow draping across the branches.  I make a mental note to grab the camera when I get inside.
