Heading West

It’s been almost a year since I left Florida on the road trip to Montana.  Most people said I was nuts for leaving a sunny, warm climate to move here, but I had reunited with a man who I dated 27 years ago (but could never forget about), so I knew that this move was right for me.   After all, he IS the love of my life.   So with my 2 dogs, my mini-SUV, his big Yukon (he had driven to Florida to help with the move), and him pulling a U-Haul trailer, we left Florida one afternoon.

We headed north, passing through several states, seemingly in the blink of an eye.  It was such a hurried trip that I don’t remember a lot about it…drive all day, stop for gas a few times, walk the dogs, stop to eat and sleep…drive some more…and then drive some more..

We made it to Mount Rushmore!   It’s not far now..

016a Quick e-mail view  Finally!  My new “home sweet home” on the Stillwater River in south central Montana!
